BACHELOR OF PHYSIOTHERAPY (BPT)

The BPT program offered in Saveetha College of Physiotherapy aims to impart in-depth knowledge and skill to the students to become competent physiotherapist. MASTER OF PHYSIOTHERAPY (MPT)

Musculoskeletal Sciences

An advanced specialty area of physical therapy practice that is based on manual examination and treatment techniques integrated with exercise, patient education, and other physical therapy modalities to address pain, loss of function, and wellness.

Neurosciences

Neurological physiotherapy is the treatment of patients who have a neurological disorder. Neurological disorders are those affecting the brain, spinal cord and nerves; such as stroke, MS and Parkinson's disease.

Sports Sciences

Manual therapy has a unique clinical role in the overall management of sports rehabilitation. Manual Therapy provides these physical stimuli, assisting the smooth transition from the disability of injury to the high physical demands of sport activities.

Cardio Vascular and Pulmonary Sciences

Cardiorespiratory physiotherapy is an area of physiotherapy that specialises in the prevention, rehabilitation, and compensation of clients with diseases and injuries in the heart and lungs.

Pediatric and Neonatal Sciences

Pediatric physiotherapy is effective in the management of perinatal conditions, conditions diagnosed in early childhood, and injuries sustained throughout childhood and the transition to adult care.

Oncology & General Surgery

This program equips physiotherapists to specialize in oncology and general surgery care, focusing on managing cancer-related impairments, post-surgical rehabilitation, and palliative care. It also covers pre- and postoperative management, respiratory therapy, pain relief, and functional recovery, enhancing patient mobility and quality of life.

Exercise and Kinesiotherapy

This program focuses on the therapeutic application of exercise and movement science to prevent, manage, and rehabilitate physical dysfunctions. It trains physiotherapists in designing evidence-based exercise protocols and kinesiological interventions to enhance strength, flexibility, mobility, and overall functional performance.

Community, Geriatrics and Palliative Care

This program emphasizes physiotherapy for community health, elderly care, and palliative management. It focuses on promoting functional independence, improving quality of life, and providing compassionate care through evidence-based interventions for diverse populations, including the underprivileged, elderly, and terminally ill.
